The Chiefs will hold a voluntary mini-camp Friday through Sunday, which Johnson's agent, Peter Schaffer, said the RB will participate in. Schaffer said Johnson has been participating in the team's offseason workout program, which began March 30.

The Chiefs recently won a grievance against Johnson based on roster bonus money. The grievance win cleared the way for the team to easily release Johnson. But Schaffer said it is his belief that the Chiefs are interested in keeping the 29-year-old workhorse. ... "If it was a foregone conclusion that the Chiefs would cut Larry I don't think he'd be going to the mini-camp," Schaffer told ESPN.com's Bill Williamson. ... We'll remind you the Chiefs will be making that decision as opposed to Schaffer.
