Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Initial reports suggested the deal would pay Jones-Drew an average of more than $8 million annually; the average actual value of his contract came in at $6.2 million -- or slightly less than Brandon Jacobs' four-year, $25 million contract, which has an average value of $6.25 million. Still, Jones-Drew gets $17.5 million in guaranteed money (an average of $3.5 million per year), and Jacobs will be paid $13 million guaranteed (an average of $3.25 million per year). Bottom line? Jones-Drew is happy; the Jaguars are happy; and Fantasy owners have something to look forward to: Jones-Drew carrying the load this fall.
