While the coaching staff has been more focused on full participation this year than in past seasons, Jones-Drew is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is currently slated to earn the league minimum $535,000 in 2009 and Times-Union staffer Michael C. Wright suggests it's unlikely the star RB will join his teammates if a new deal can't be worked out before the start of training camp. Jones-Drew is seeking a new deal worth as much as $8 million per year (and approximately $20 million guaranteed), similar to the six-year, $49.3 million contract ($29.3 million in the first four years) signed last year by St. Louis RB Steven Jackson. ...
