Peterson has triggered performance-based escalator clauses in his contract that raised his base salary for next season by $2.5 million and his salary-cap figure to $5.7 million, according to Scout.com. In 2011, Peterson’s base salary leaps to $10.7 million. His salary-cap figure will be nearly $13 million. Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Peterson has rushed for 3,101 yards in two NFL seasons, winning the league rushing title last season with 1,760 yards. As PFT's Aaron Wilson reminded readers, the former first-round pick's career rushing average per carry is 5.2 yards. He has rushed for 22 career touchdowns, catching 40 passes for 393 yards and one score.
