The Chiefs are down to four quarterbacks with the release of Gray. Signed during last season after injuries knocked out Brodie Croyle and Damon Huard, Gray played in one game for the Chiefs, completing seven of eight passes for 76 yards and a TD in a mopup role of a November loss to Buffalo at Arrowhead Stadium.

That leaves Matt Cassel, Tyler Thigpen, Brodie Croyle and Ingle Martin at quarterback. While the Chiefs would probably take a maximum of four quarterbacks to camp, they could certainly draft another and release either Martin or Croyle before heading to camp.
