Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
There's been some back and forth and uncertainty on this story since it first broke, but SI.com's Peter King is now reporting the Patriots originally dealt Cassel to the Chiefs -- run by former New England VP of player personnel Scott Pioli -- on Friday for an undisclosed draft pick. Now it has been learned that the Chiefs will get both Vrabel and Cassel in exchange for the 34th overall pick in April's draft. As King suggested, the compensation is surprising, because two years ago, the Atlanta Falcons got two second-round picks from Houston for a far less experienced quarterback, Matt Schaub. ... Stay tuned. We're going to assume the deal is done as reported and get back with you if it changes. Bottom line? Cassel looks like a Chief.
