The Kansas City Chiefs have found their starting quarterback. NFL Network’s Adam Schefter reports the Chiefs acquired Cassel from the New England Patriots in a trade.

So much for those Buccaneers rumors. ... We should note that the initial reporting was this deal was done. It now appears there are still issues being resolved but the Boston Globe reports the paperwork has been filed. According to Schefter, the teams have agreed on compensation, but no details of the deal were immediately available. This move -- once completed -- certainly makes more sense with former Patriots personnel man Scott Pioli running the Chiefs now. We'll have more as those further information comes to light.
