New HC Todd Haley cleared up a mystery Thursday by designating Chan Gailey as the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator.

While the team announced the staff earlier in the week, they did not provide the actual roles of all the assistants -- Gailey included. On Thursday, Haley did not declare whether Gailey will call the plays, as Gailey did for the Chiefs last season in his first year as their coordinator. Haley said a day earlier he had not decided whether he or his coordinator would call the plays. ... We'll continue to watch for more.
