The Facts:
Tomlinson's future with the Chargers could be decided in the next few days, as the principals involved in contract negotiations are expected to meet this weekend. Ed McGuire, Chargers assistant GM, was scheduled to arrive in Indianapolis on Friday night, and sources said a series of discussions between him and Tomlinson's agent, Tom Condon, will take place after that.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
McGuire is the team's chief negotiator; General Manager A.J. Smith rarely speaks directly with agents. ... A source told the Union-Tribune Thursday that a meeting was set between McGuire and Condon for Sunday, but that likely will be just an initial meeting in a long series aimed at a restructured contract for the superstar RB. As suggested in
a recent Fantasy Notebook, it will be up to Tomlinson to accept less guaranteed money for 2009 with likely performance incentives that could earn him as much or more than the $6.725 million he is scheduled to make.
