On Monday, team president Joe Banner said in a statement that he fully expects McNabb to be an Eagle next season.

No real surprise there -- despite the current sentiment among fans and Philadelphia media. Andy Reid will also return as head coach -- although some of his staff could move on. ... Meanwhile, McNabb expressed a desire to meet with the front office during the offseason to discuss his future with the team. All indications are he would feel better with a contract extension that truly reflects Banner's statement. It will be interesting to see where those discussions go.
