Report: Chiefs Hire Pioli; Edwards Unlikely To Remain
(1/13 1:7 PT)

The Facts:
Patriots vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli has agreed to become head of football operations for the Kansas City Chiefs, two NFL sources told ESPN's Michael Smith. Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Smith, the decision to hire Pioli likely means Herman Edwards will not be back as Chiefs head coach next season. Among the top candidates to succeed Edwards is New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. Worth noting: Pioli should find a warm welcome in Kansas City. At the last Chiefs home game, shortly after the embattled Carl Peterson resigned after 20 years as president, general manager and CEO, the Associated Press several signs were spotted in the crowd proclaiming, "We want Pioli."
