The Facts:
While guys like John Clayton and Ed Werder have been offering superficial tidbits about whether Tomlinson might play on Saturday night against the Chargers, Mortensen goes deeper. Specifically, Mort reports that Tomlinson has a “totally detached” adductor tendon in his groin.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Mike Florio suggests, it sounds serious. Because if Mort's report is accurate, it is serious and the chances LT can play effectively with such an injury seem slim indeed. Still all the reporting -- including Mortensen's -- continue to suggest Tomlinson's status will be determined by a "Dreaded Game-Time Decision." As always, we'll have the official verdict on LT and Antonio Gates (who has reported "promised Philip Rivers he'll play on a sprained ankle tonight) in the hour leading up to kickoff.
