The Facts:
James knows his next game with the Cardinals likely will be his last, and he will shed no tears when that happens. The Cardinals are expected to release James in the off season and he wants out. "I think the feeling is mutual," he said, laughing. "It's not something I'm going to contest."

Until then, James said he is committed to helping the Cardinals advance in the playoffs. "They did what they had to do but at the end of the day, that's all over with. Now it's time to get serious. We're through playing around and everything is serious. ..." James lost his starting job to Tim Hightower after seven games and carried the ball only 11 times in the next eight games. He asked to be released or traded, but the team refused. Against Seattle last week, he carried 14 times for 100 yards. HC Ken Whisenhunt hasn't committed to James carrying the load this weekend but it would make sense given that strong effort against Seattle.
