Matt Schaub's Knee Is Sprained; Status Uncertain
(11/2 11:26 PT)

The Facts:
Schaub’s left knee buckled when he took two separate hits in the first half of Sunday's loss to the Vikings, one coming on the first play of the game. During halftime, doctors diagnosed the injury as a sprained knee. “I watched him limp through the last five or six minutes of the first half,” HC Gary Kubiak said. “He came in and saw the doctors and couple of them said he would have a hard time out there protecting himself.” Reported by HoustonTexans.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to the team's official web site, Schaub pleaded with the coach to play, but with Kubiak took one look at Schaub’s swollen and stiff knee and decided to go with Sage Rosenfels for the remaining two quarters. According to the Houston Chronicle, Schaub will undergo an MRI today that should give an indication of how long Rosenfels could be playing.
