The Facts:
HC Rod Marinelli told reporters during his Monday press conference that Orlovsky injured his thumb in Sunday's loss to the Bears. Marinelli declined to give specifics about the injury until after further examination. He wouldn't commit to Orlovsky starting in Week 10, however.

Asked specifically who his starting QB would be against Jacksonville this Sunday, Marinelli also declined. He then spent the next few minutes praising the body of work of newly-signed QB Daunte Culpepper. Could Culepper start for the Lions this week? He still has to pass his physical to consummate his deal, but it doesn't sound like Marinelli is willing to rule that possibility out. ... Stay tuned.
