Orton suffered what looks like a serious ankle injury in the second quarter of today's game against the Lions and was taken off the field on a cart. Reported by NFL.com

The Bears haven't announced it yet, but it would appear he's done for the day -- and possibly longer. Rex Grossman will take over in his absence. Orton threw for 108 yards and had a rushing touchdown before suffering the injury. ... We'll obviously have more on Orton as further details are released.
