Smith had 10 carries for 46 yards and scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter before sustaining what's now being called a sprained knee.
That means more carries for Jamaal Charles and Jackie Battle, who was signed off the practice squad. As NFL.com's Michael Fabiano suggests, with Smith hurt and Larry Johnson out at least one more week, Charles will be a hot name on the waiver wire this week.
