Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
In agreeing to a deal with Culpepper, the Lions have a quarterback to help finish this season and take them into next season. Culpepper, a former Vikings starter, has great knowledge of the NFC North but it's not clear how long he'll need to emerge as a legitimate contributor -- or if he can emerge as a legitimate contributor -- this year. Nonetheless, the fact he'll be playing with Calvin Johnson certainly makes him of some interest to owners in serious binds at the position.
