Jones, who signed a one-year deal with Chicago before the starting of training camp, has made a speedy recovery from right knee surgery in January. He suffered a torn ACL in the knee against Kansas City on December 23. The Bears signed Jones six weeks after they released Cedric Benson, who wore out his welcome with the team due to his off-the-field problems. Jones could compete with rookie Matt Forte for playing time.
