The star quarterback joined the New York Jets before their exhibition game in Cleveland, hours after he was traded by the Green Bay Packers. "The last 24 hours have been crazy," he said, adding: "I am not a traitor. ..."

Favre admitted he never thought he would become a Jet, but said he's excited to play for New York. The three-time MVP said he's "a little out of shape, compared to the other guys," but is eager to play. Favre won't appear in tonight's first preseason game -- but said he is looking forward to taking the team's conditioning test tomorrow. ... For what it's worth, asked what went wrong in Green Bay, Favre said both sides had to share in the blame.
