Williams will undergo knee surgery on his right knee, the team announced Wednesday. Williams left Tuesday's practice on a cart after re-injuring his knee, which had caused him to start training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

HC Jack Del Rio is not sure how much time Williams will miss. "Reggie will require surgery for his cartilage," Del Rio said. "He'll need a little cleanout. He should return. Entering his fifth season out of the University of Washington, the 6-4 Williams had 38 catches for a career-high 629 yards and personal-best 10 touchdowns last year.
