Avery agreed to terms on a new contract Saturday morning, leaving running back Steven Jackson as the only AWOL Ram. Terms weren’t immediately available.

Avery, a second-round draft pick out of the University of Houston, arrived in Wisconsin on Friday evening in anticipation that a contract agreement would be finalized. With some details still to be worked out, Avery was not on the practice field Saturday morning. But he’s expected to practice this afternoon, meaning he will have missed only two practices while his contract terms were being ironed out. Meanwhile, fourth-round receiver Keenan Burton -- a players some observers already considered more "pro ready" than Avery -- impressed on the first day of camp.
