Although the Sporting News also seemed to suggest the Eagles might have initiated the contact, any actual interest in Favre would be surprising because their quarterback situation is better than most teams in the league. Donovan McNabb is said to be healthy and second-year man Kevin Kolb is their QB of the future. Still, one could argue Favre would be capable of running Andy Reid's version of the West Coast offense. Reid was once Favre's quarterbacks coach in Green Bay under Mike Holmgren. ... All that said, we're still buying into the recent reports suggesting Favre is having second thoughts about his comeback.
