Brett Favre No Longer Feels Welcome In Green Bay?
(7/14 7:56 PT)

The Facts:
In his first comments regarding his request to be released from the Packers, Favre told Greta Van Susteren that he no longer felt welcome in Wisconsin. He also said that the Packers asked for a list of teams to which Favre would accept a trade and Favre said he prefers to be released so that he can play for a competitive team. Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
In the about 12 minute interview on Fox News, Favre said he got the hint the organization wanted him to stay in retirement. "I was told playing in Green Bay was not an option. ..." Meanwhile, as PFT's Mike Florio suggests, there also are signs that the situation is turning ugly with Favre suggesting team officials were being less than forthcoming in their version of the story. "If you move on, you tell me one thing, don't come back and tell the public. ... Just say it, 'You know, we've moved on and we'll work with Brett on whatever it is,'" Favre said. "Don't make up a lot of stuff or give half of the truth." Adding to the fun and games, Favre will be at Lambeau Field on Saturday night to introduce former teammate Frank Winters for the team's Hall of Fame. That should be interesting.
