Forget the media speculation about the Cowboys' showing interest in Horn. It was never a consideration at the team's headquarters. Horn's agent called to see if there was interest. The Cowboys took 30 seconds to say, hell no. They believe Horn is washed up as a player.

According to Star-Telegram staffer Clarence E. Hill, the Cowboys also believe Horn would be a bad fit in the locker room. So team officials never had any interest in Horn. It was a non story -- almost
certainly one provided to the NFL Network (suggesting Horn would be a positive locker room presence) and ESPN by Horn's agent. But as Hill suggested, it takes two sides to show interest, not one.
