The Facts:
Benson was arrested and charged with drunken driving in downtown Austin, police said. Austin police spokeswoman Veneza Aguinaga said Benson was stopped overnight for a traffic violation and refused a breathalyzer and blood test. He was arrested and taken to the Travis County Jail.

The arrest comes a month after Benson was arrested on Lake Travis on charges of boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest, both class B misdemeanors. Those cases are still pending. ... And with each arrest Benson's chances of remaining with the Bears -- let alone beating out rookie Matt Forte's for Chicago's starting job -- decrease greatly. We will, of course, have more on this as developments warrant.
