Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the St. Louis Rams have claimed former Buccaneers quarterback Bruce Gradkowski on waivers.

According to Schefter, the Bears and Raiders also put in waiver claims on Gradkowski, but the Rams had priority based on having the worst 2007 record of the three teams that put in claims. Gradkowski started 11 games as a rookie sixth-round draft pick in 2006. But he became expendable in 2007 when Jeff Garcia took over as the Bucs’ starter. In St. Louis Gradkowski will compete with Brock Berlin for the third-string job, behind starter Marc Bulger and backup Trent Green.
