The Bucs, looking for players capable of providing an offensive spark, have re-signed tight end Jerramy Stevens and parted ways with quarterback Bruce Gradkowski.

Gradkowski had a rocky stint with the Bucs since being drafted in the sixth round in 2006. He started 11 games in place of an injured Chris Simms as a rookie in 2006, finishing 3-8 in those contests. ... Stevens return might be an indication the Bucs aren't thrilled with their three top tight ends: Alex Smith, John Gilmore and Ben Troupe and are hoping to increase the level of competition in the unit.
