The Facts:
The Raiders drafted McFadden because of his phenomenal speed on the field. Turns out, he could be just as quick to the contract table. McFadden's agent, Ian Greengross, is scheduled to meet with the team's contract negotiators next week.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Chronicle staffer David White, sources on both sides are optimistic a deal could be struck in June, which would be something of a landmark for the Raiders. Last year, the Raiders didn't sign No. 1 overall draft pick JaMarcus Russell until Sept. 11-- two days after the season opener. Negotiation talks were cursory at best until July and stalled shortly after training camp started. ... McFadden has repeatedly said he does not want to miss a day of camp, and it appears that he won't. Based on recent contracts for No. 4 picks, McFadden can expect a deal with anything from $22 million to $30 million guaranteed -- and most likely somewhere in the middle.
