Porter knows he'll need to be patient now. The receiver pulled a hamstring near the end of the Jaguars' practice Tuesday, and while the injury isn't believed to be serious, Porter doesn't want to return too soon at this time of year and risk aggravating it. "I'll take it slow," he said. "I don't want to rush back into it because a hamstring can be a reoccurring thing if you don't respect it."

Porter was frustrated when he suffered the injury because he said he was feeling good after going out last week with an irritated Achilles tendon. Because training camp doesn't begin until late July, Porter has time to let the injury heal if he isn't back by the end of OTAs on June 12. "A lot of things are accomplished in May and June, but championships aren't won in May and June," Porter said. ... Porter is right.
