The Facts:
Benson received another court date to circle on his calendar Friday, a matter of procedure more than significance. A June 30 hearing will be the first courtroom appearance by Benson's legal team in defense of the misdemeanor charges against him of boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest. Reported by the Chicago Tribune

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Monday's upcoming first appearance is an opportunity for Benson's defense team to officially check in on the court docket and will not even take place in a courtroom. So, perhaps of more interest would be the fact that HC Lovie Smith told the team's official web site, "Cedric was our starter last year, and he’s our starter right now." Perhaps the coach should have said "for now." Whatever the case, we still believe rookie Matt Forte will have something to say about Benson's place on the depth chart before all is said and done.
