The Facts:
Quinn, in his first comments since the re-signing of Derek Anderson (see more here), said bringing back last year's starter is a good move, but he still hopes to get a fair shot in training camp. "We're both obviously good quarterbacks," Quinn said. "It puts us in a good position if anything were ever to happen. I'm just looking forward to the competition."

Uh, not so fast kid. ... GM Phil Savage has made it clear the Browns are committed to Anderson as the starter in 2008. Anderson made it to the Pro Bowl as an alternate and wasn't paid $24 million Friday to compete for his job, the team says. "When you sign a contract like we did with Derek, I don't think there's going to be an 'open competition,"' Savage said. "We go in with Derek as the lead horse. You don't sign a contract like that and say, 'hey, it's an open competition. ..."'
