Rod Gardner Has Room For Improvement
(7/13 7:11 PT)

The Facts:
According to the Sporting News, Rod Gardner must make better use of his 6-2, 213-pound frame to defeat press coverage and make sure he watches every pass into his hands. He could be a prime target as a possession receiver but must prove he can be reliable. The report also suggested that Gardner will be pushed by Darnerien McCants. Reported by The Sporting News

Diehards Line:

Rob Zarzycki's View:
The battle between Gardner and McCants will definitely be something to watch in the preseason games. Coach Joe Gibbs' main priority is developing an outstanding offense and, with an improved O-Line and the addition of stud RB Clinton Portis and veteran QB Mark Brunell, the passing game should open up as well as the running game. Whoever gets the nod as Washington's 2nd WR along side Laveranues Coles will certainly make waves in fantasy pools.
