LeGarrette Blount Okay Working Behind Bell
(6/2 1:47 PT)

The Facts:
When Blount signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he knew second-year running back Le'Veon Bell would be the workhorse. Blount is coming off a 153-carry, 772-yards rushing, seven-touchdown season in his only year in New England. Moving to Pittsburgh, Blount has no problem merely being an occasional hammer in the Steelers' backfield. "I feel like every running back in this league wants to be a starter," Blount said. "Obviously I want to start, and I knew that when I went to New England. I wasn't the starting guy. When I come here, I know I'm not the starting guy. But you work hard and go out there and do everything as though you are the starter. Sometimes it plays out that way, sometimes it doesn't." Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Blount's best games came at the end of the year when he bulldozed over fatigued defenses -- including a 166-yard, four-touchdown playoff performance against the Indianapolis Colts. The Steelers hope he can provide similiar freshness in the backfield as the season grinds on. The Steelers signed Blount to spell Bell for six to eight carries a game, according to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette staffer Gerry Dulac. With Blount, a three-down back like Bell and an improving offensive line behind new position coach Mike Munchak, the Steelers want to jump from the 27th rushing offense (3.5 yards per attempt) in 2013 into the top five.
