That doesn't mean the initial report was a fabrication. Stephen Jones went on to note, "Any reports of apparent internal discussions along those lines would involve people who have no input or relevance in the process. ..." Felix Jones, one of the team’s two first-round picks in 2008, is entering the final year of his contract but at this point there's no reason to believe he won't continue to serve as the primary compliment to starter DeMarco Murray this season.
