Yesterday's report suggested the Falcons had emerged as "a strong contender." It would appear we've moved forward. Worth noting, Jets owner Woody Johnson said last week he'd be interested in his team -- now featuring Tim Tebow -- back on the series (although HC Rex Ryan reportedly would rather not appear again). The Jaguars
have also stated their interest in appearing -- an interest that apparently isn't mutual. For the record, ESPN notes that an HBO spokesman declined to comment, saying it's company policy not to discuss potential candidates during the selection process. Typically, HBO, which produces the show in conjunction with NFL Films, doesn't announce the team until May. ... Stay tuned.
