Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Texans haven’t been involved in the Manning sweepstakes because they’re committed to Schaub. Elaborating on Manning, McNair said, “He’s talking to teams that don’t have (starting) QBs. They’re taking a risk if they sign him without him working out. That’s a question mark. I hope Peyton improves to 100 percent, but I believe he’s still he’s about 85 percent right now. ...” The Denver Post reported on Monday that the Texans were a late entry into the Manning sweepstakes -- presumably in response to the Titans' sudden interest. Chronicle reporter John McClain has been adamant in making the case the Texans were sticking with Schaub. Now the owner is stating the same case.
