The Facts:
Sanchez agreed to a three-year contract extension with the New York Jets on Friday night, meaning he's signed through 2016. He had two years remaining on his rookie deal.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The new contract is a 3-year extension for $40.5 million, giving him five total years for $58.25 million, with $20.5 million fully guaranteed. ... As ESPN's Rich Cimini noted, this news obviously means the Jets are out of the Peyton Manning sweepstakes. Tannenbaum confirmed they expressed interest in Manning, but he refused to say what extent they were interested. Of course, it should be noted that FOXSports insider Jay Glazer reported earlier tonight that the Jets were already out of the running. Perhaps this is their way of getting in front of that story. Whatever the case, Sanchez is it -- at QB for the Jets -- for the foreseeable future.
