Austin missed six games during the 2011 season because of hamstring injuries. And the setbacks caused him to finish with his worst statistical season in the last three years. But during a recent radio interview, Austin said the hamstring injuries are nothing to be concerned about. "It feels good. It feels good," Austin told 1310 The Ticket [KTCK-AM] on Wednesday. "[It's] not an issue."

Austin dealt with a strained hamstring before the season started and re-aggravated the injury during a Week 2 victory in San Francisco, a game where the six-year veteran dominated with nine grabs for 143 yards and three scores. The two-time Pro Bowl selection missed two games and returned to action for four contests before suffering another hamstring injury in a win over the Seahawks. He missed four games but played in the final four outings of the season. ... Austin recorded 1,320 receiving yards during a breakout 2009 campaign but his totals have dropped since, finishing with 1,041 yards in 2010 and 579 yards last season. He has 25 touchdown catches over the last three seasons with seven coming in 2011.
