The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... Gronkowski, appearing at a local hockey game, had his recently surgically repaired left ankle heavily wrapped and arrived on crutches. "Obviously, it's not 100 percent,' he said. "I mean, I'm getting better every day and that's all you can ask for. Within a couple of weeks my goal is to be 100 percent and to keep on going day by day with it."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Although Gronkowski isn't sure if he'll be able to join his teammates when offseason workouts commence in mid-April, he's working toward it. "I can't wait to get back,' he said. "I mean, I can't do anything on my feet right now, but I'm working on my upper body and doing my core workouts because you're just so motivated. Losing [the Super Bowl], you want to keep on grinding so when it does happen again you can get the win. ..." Initial reports suggested a 10-week recovery time. Even if Gronkowski isn't ready to jump right into OTAs, there doesn't appear to be an reason to believe he won't be ready well in advance of training camp. We will, of course, follow up as needed.
