With Jermichael Finley just signed to a new deal, the Packers may use their franchise tag on Flynn.

So says Milwaukee Journal Sentinal reporter Tom Silverstein. That tag would cost the Packers $14.5 million, but it means that they could then trade Flynn and get some return for him rather than letting him leave and getting nothing back. It's a risky move as Flynn has only started two games in his career and if they don't deal him, they would be on the line for all of that huge salary. It seems fair to say that the Packers would not tag Flynn if they weren't extremely comfortable that they could deal him.
