Josh Morgan Expects To Be At Full Speed For OTAs
(2/12 3:56 PT)

The Facts:
Morgan bounded out of the team facility after a workout Thursday as if there was nothing wrong with him. Morgan broke his lower right leg on Oct. 9 and was placed on injured reserve. He told AP's Janie McCauley that he's begun sprinting again, and he promises to be at full speed in the spring. Reported by the Sacramento Bee

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The 49ers badly could have used Morgan in the playoffs, especially after Ted Ginn went down with an injury. HC Jim Harbaugh has said the 49ers want to re-sign Morgan, who is a good fit for their power-based West Coast Offense. Morgan, however, likely will test the market in free agency before agreeing to a new deal in San Francisco. Indeed, National Football Post staffer Dan Pompei reports that teams are buzzing about the possibility of acquiring Morgan, who is considered a very good talent who should be available at a lesser price than the receivers on the top rung. The 49ers have been enthralled with Morgan for four years, but he never really had a breakout because of health issues and offensive ineptitude in previous seasons. A broken leg limited him to five games in 2011. But front office men see Morgan as someone with decent size, speed, toughness and playmaking ability.
