Ward's announcement comes in the wake of reporting by NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora indicating the Steelers aren't interested in the veteran wideout's return. Ward currently has one year and $4 million left on his contract. It remains to be seen if the Steelers will be interested in restructuring Ward, who compiled his lowest receiving totals since his rookie season in 1998.
