The Facts:
Stafford said he will wear gloves again for this week’s game against the Panthers, to help the grip on his injured right index finger because “it’s not really strong enough or healthy enough to grip without them.”

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Stafford threw four interceptions and completed just 33 of 63 passes in Sunday’s 37-13 loss to the Chicago Bears. HC Jim Schwartz blamed Stafford’s poor performance on blustery conditions, but Stafford revealed after the game he had a fractured right index finger. Speaking on the Mitch Albom Show today, Stafford explained how the gloves helped him. "Because I have to wear a brace on the back of my finger and tape all around it, and I can’t feel the ball with tape just touching the ball," he said. "But if I get the gloves on, I get a little extra grip with the rest of my three fingers. So I get that extra grip, and that just helps me control the ball where it’s going. ..." We'll continue to follow up as needed, but it sounds like this will be an ongoing issue for the foreseeable future.
