Dolphins Worried, Teammates Not Surprised By Brandon Marshall's Incident
(4/24 8:45 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... The Dolphins are now worried about Marshall because, troublemaker or not, they know he is troubled. That’s the reason his latest unfortunate, sad domestic violence episode stunned neither the Dolphins’ brass nor players. “And this is supposed to surprise me how?” a Dolphins player texted Saturday morning when told of what happened to the Miami WR. Reported by the Miami Herald

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Herald staffer Armando Salguero, the Dolphins are wary of Marshall’s issues and worried about his future. They don’t know all the facts of Friday’s domestic-violence incident in which Marshall's wife allegedly stabbed him in the abdomen (an injury that required surgery to repair). What they do know is that Marshall has issues with women based on seven domestic violence incidents. ... This latest episode raised questions as to whether the Dolphins might break ties with Marshall. But sources tell Salguero the team, at this time, has no intention of doing so despite having the option to break away from Marshall by not paying a $3 million option bonus that guarantees the player’s salary through 2012. Instead, they will continue to gather facts about the latest incident and make plans based on those facts with the idea of keeping Marshall.
