Chris Ivory's Rehab Progressing
(3/28 11:19 PT)

The Facts:
Ivory is rehabilitating after undergoing lisfranc surgery and is out of his protective boot. "Right now I'm still rehabbing, and it has gotten a lot better," Ivory said. "I'm to the point now where I can put a little more pressure on it, but that pressure is still -- I'm still hesitant to put a lot on it, to where it's like I'm walking normal. I still have a little ways to go." Reported by the New Orleans Times-Picayune

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Ivory, who said he is undergoing some underwater therapy at an area hospital, conceded he doesn't feel close to perfect. He hopes to start running in about a month. "I wouldn't say 'hurt,'" he said, looking for the right words to explain his discomfort. "I don't know what kind of feeling it would be -- something that's not normal. It's just, you know something is wrong. But it's getting better. ..." Ivory averaged 5.2 yards per carry last season, but was limited to 716 yards on 137 carries overall because he could not stay in the lineup. He played in 12 games, four of them starts, but he was inactive for the other four and he watched from the injured reserve list as the Saints, their backfield seriously shorthanded, lost to Seattle in a stunning road upset in a wild-card game. Still, if healthy, Ivory would be welcome presence.
