The Facts:
HC Steve Spagnuolo confirmed what had become increasingly obviously with each passing week during the offseason. Namely, that the St. Louis Rams will not hire a QBs coach. Which means Josh McDaniels will serve the dual role of offensive coordinator and QBs coach for the Rams in 2011. "I think that's a safe statement," Spagnuolo said. "Now, you can put a QB coach in there and it works fine, but for the first year of absorbing it. ... I feel real comfortable because Josh has done it this way."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Under current NFL lockout conditions, Sam Bradford and McDaniels are not allowed to have any contact. According to Post -Dispatch staffer Jim Thomas, Bradford has been working out on his own at home in Oklahoma. He is not expected to begin throwing to teammates for several weeks. Keep in mind, under non-lockout conditions, Bradford normally wouldn't be throwing much, or at all, to teammates until after the draft when the mini-camps and OTAs begin.
