The Facts:
The NFL Players Association has decided to not directly compete with the NFL's traditional draft event. According to NFL Network, the decertified players' union will instead hold a reception for players and their families at a hotel in Times Square prior to the start of the first round.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The NFLPA subsequently confirmed the initial reports. The event is called "The Debut," and it's expected to have a similar schedule prior to the second round during the second day of the draft followed by a party Saturday night. The NFLPA had initially been suggesting that players attend their draft event instead of the NFL draft, but apparently thought this was a better idea. There had even been talk of holding the NFLPA draft event on a competing television network.
