The Facts:
Brady had surgery on a stress fracture in his foot on January 20. And while he is slated to be ready for preseason, it’s no surprise that rehab is taking a little time. Therefore, it’s not a huge deal that Brady is still in a walking boot a month and a half after his procedure.

Indeed, as Herald staffer Ian Rapoport reminded readers, Brady wore the walking boot at times during the season. So the fact he was spotted wearing one while vacationing in Brazil comes as no surprise. The procedure Brady underwent in January, which included inserting a screw in the navicular bone, was a pre-emptive strike aimed at protecting Brady from suffering a full fracture in the future. Brady is expected to be full-go and completely healthy by training camp -- and perhaps earlier (at least one report at the time of surgery suggested Brady would be available for OTAs in late March, CBA willing). ...
