According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, there are no face-to-face negotiations set for Friday; the mediator will instead meet separately with both sides with a decision to be made on a 7-to-10 day extension.

That certainly makes sense. ... As noted in a previous item, time was short today and the two sides were looking to avoid the worst-case scenarios -- decertification and/or lockout. While there's no guarantee another extension will be worked out, we'll suggest again the fact the two sides are still willing to work is a good sign. ... Stay tuned.
